hihi. i'm back from hokkaido and shanghai :D
it was from 12 dec to 21 dec :)
anyways, here is the itinery that my uncle emailed us. the itinery is not so accurate cos sometimes it reshuffled due to weather conditions in hokkaido. i will be adding some of my feelings and comments on the trip in the itinery haha.
bai si lian ren rocks! haha it's hokkaido's most famous product, which is white chocolate biscuit. the first time i tried the sample, i fell in love with it :) ALMOST EVERY SHOP got sell bai si lian ren :D
12 Dec 09 2215hrs - Assemble at Changi Airport Terminal 3 Row 5 for Check-in.
my god they took soooo freaking long just to check in the luggages. idk how the tour guide do the admin stuffs one.
DAY TWO - Shanghai to Chitose to Lake Toya *(breakfast on-board/lunch/dinner)

13 Dec 09 0055hrs - Depart SG for Shanghai via MU544 (China Eastern Airline)
i hate china airlines.
13 Dec 09 0610hrs - Reach Shanghai for short rest and prepare for transfer flight
13 Dec 09 0815hrs - Depart Shanghai via MU279 to Hokkaido
finally, coming hokkaido le.
13 Dec 09 1215hrs (Japanese time, +1hr) - Reach Hokkaido for commencement of tour
YAY.
13 Dec 09 After 1230hrs - Proceed for lunch. Then to visit Jigokudani or "Hell Valley" for stroll in volcanic areas to see boiling ponds and steaming streams. Next to Mount Shauwu to see volcanic mountains from a distance. Then to Lake Toya area for dinner & accomodation arranged at Toyako Gyoen Honkan (0142-75-2445). Hot spring baths (complimentary) recommended at own leisure within the hotel premise.
i didn't go hot spring T_T cos my mum didn't go so i didn't too. only my dad, bro and uncle went. they said it was shiok. haha and had to sleep on tatami that day. the pillow like got beads inside. reminded me of the medicated pillows in korea.
DAY THREE - Lake Toya to Sapporo *(breakfast/lunch) dinner at own expense

14 Dec 09 - After breakfast, Cruise in elegant Lake Toya to view seagulls, swans or possibly, deers! Snow activities available at ski resort but snow equipments are only available upon rental. Cost of snow mobile is 18000Y for twin-sharing, equivalent to SG$290. Thereafter, proceed to Ainu Village to witness lifestyles of Ainu via displays of their heirlooms. Next is the Bear Ranch, to see hundreds of little bears. Lunch provided for. Then to Sapporo TV Tower & Tanukikojo Shopping Arcade, for shopping spree. Evening to Seafood Market for self-arranged dinner and shops selling Hokkaido delicacies. Optional crab buffet with free flow of sake/drinks priced 8600Y pp, equivalent to SG$138. Accomodate at Sapporo APA Resort (0115-71-3111).
okay, i didn't go the snow mobile thingy, but built a small snowman and pulled each other o9n a sleigh. lol me, bro and cousin did these things. the stuff that involved the whole family was snowball fight. lol that was uber fun :) that place have alot of snow, and it's very memorable :D
the bear place so cute! got ducks there also rofl.
okay, Sapporo is COOL! haha we didn't go the crab buffet, so we ate dinner ourselves :) sapporo is damn cool, then we also went to the 199 yen shop and bought lotsa stuffs. then it was also snowing quite heavily in sapporo.
DAY FOUR - Sapporo to Asahikawa *(breakfast/lunch) dinner at own expense

15 Dec 09 - After breakfast, advance to Otaru Music Box Museum, to view crafting of music boxes. Then to Kitachi Glass Shop, for its unique lamps and hand-blown glassware. Alongside, to enjoy sightseeing many shops lining Otaru Canal. After lunch, proceed to Ishiya White Chocolate Factory. Night accomodation arranged at Asahikawa Crescent Hotel (0166-27-1111). Dinner at own leisure.
haha after we went otaru canal, we went to the music box museum. all the music boxes damn cute cans! :D but didn't buy for fear of breaking it. then after that we roam outside the streets and bought soft ice cream. haha then from then on everyday we ate the soft ice cream. it was damn nice :)
DAY FIVE - Asahikawa to Sounkyo *(breakfast/lunch/dinner)

16 Dec 09 - After breakfast, proceed to Otokoyama Sake Brewery Museum, experienced in sake brewing for 330yrs. Sake tasting sessions available at no costs. Then to Ramen Village to sample different varieties of ramen. After lunch, proceed to Asahikawa shopping streets for some great bargains. Dinner and accomodation provided for at Sounkyo Grand Hotel (0165-85-3111).
OMG the sake was GOOD!

okay the dinner was buffet and got HOKKAIDO CRAB! lucky we never go the crab buffet that need to pay de :P hahaha, so our wishes got answered and we got to try the crab without paying for it :D rofl
DAY SIX - Sounkyo to Sapporo *(breakfast/lunch/dinner)

17 Dec 09 - After breakfast, proceed to Sounkyo Gorge and take cable car (subject to weather conditions) to witness the beautiful Mount Daisetsu-zan, created by columnar cliffs, lined with worth-seeing shootiing star and silver river waterfalls. After lunch, transit to Sapporo for free and easy activities. Snow activities can also be opted on personal accounts. Dinner and accomodation arranged at the Tower Hotel (0167-57-2030).
wah the mount daisetsuzu damn nice. got extremely nice and scenic views :)
lol then the waterfall there so funny. it was frozen and got snow on top of it. i was like : this is a waterfall? LOL.
then me, bro and dad tried skiing. the skiing boots so hard to walk! and when i attached those long "legs" on my boots i cannot even walk liao. when skiing down, i lost balance and fell flat on my face. everyone laughing at me -.- my uncle took a vid of it. lol.
DAY SEVEN - Sapporo to Chitose *(breakfast/lunch/dinner)

18 Dec 09 - After breakfast, advance to Asaki Beer Factory, one of famous beer brands in Japan. Then to another Lake for swan and scenic views. After lunch, embark on a 3hr journey back to Chitose for dinner. Accomodation arranged at Coms Shin-Chitose near the airport.
the beer factory was good too. hehe i also tasted the beer :)
DAY EIGHT - Chitose to Shanghai *(breakfast/lunch on-board) dinner priced 35RMB

19 Dec 09 - After breakfast, transfer to airport for transfer to Shanghai.
19 Dec 09 1320hrs - Depart Hokkaido for Shanghai via MU280
19 Dec 09 1600hrs (Shanghai's time, same as SG) - Reach Shanghai
19 Dec 09 After 1600hrs - Transfer to Nanjing Shopping streets. Then to Fengshui Museum and dinner thereafter. Dinner at own expenses, priced at 35RMB pp. Accomodation arranged for Rayfront Xu Hui Hotel (86-0514-82987018). Optional night tours available at SG$50 - $70. We WONT be joining these tours.
DAY NINE - Shanghai *(breakfast)

DAY TEN - Shanghai to Singapore *(breakfast/lunch on-board)

haha basically i loved hokkaido, but NOT shanghai. then hokkaido was also the first place i tried my very first beer and wine (sake) :D
haha i also tried abalone. they literally cook it in front of you. haha we have the vid of it.
there was also family love and warmth throughout the trip :)
haha my tour guide (the one bringing us to from sg to hokkaido, from hokkaido to shanghai and from shanghai back to sg) was cute! haha then got another tour guide in hokkaido. that one is dua tao. then shanghai also got another dua tao. basically the cute one is a small fry.
hokkaido is also a place for me where love formed. i regretted not having any action or responding. but i have to get over it no matter what. maybe, if there is fate, we will meet each other again. hopefully. if i meet you again, my heart maybe would not be as pain as it is now. pls god, help me through this.
