Unaccomplished

I haven't studied all day but instead was absorbed in my reading of this book called "Calling Romeo" by Sandra Potter. It's really nice, and I actually cried reading the emotional parts :( Sob.. IT'S DAMN NICE!!! :D So glad I borrowed the book hehe :) Now I'm about to start reading my Shopaholic series books again hehe.

I feel unaccomplished that I;m slacking my ass off when I should be studying like others. Studying like mad. And instead, what am I doing checking out Caleb Turman and Kyle Burns? I can leave that for after Os. But I fell into temptation :( Yet and again... This is anything but good!!! (Learnt from today's English Compre workshop. Lol can't believe I actually learnt smth from there. I was dozing off -.-) The slacker in me has lifted its deceitful head again (I leant how to use this phrase from the book hehe :))

Anyways, I'm not accustomed to waking up at 6 plus every morning. If I cannot manage 6:45am, Idk what to think when it goes back to 6:15 am -.- I'm planning to wake up at 6:30am tmr, IN CASE I AM LATE (which I was for ytd and today).

I am so in love with Caleb Turman. He's such a cutie!! But he definitely won't replace Nathan Sykes in my heart :) Heheh! Sorry to those who has to read these kinda stuff. I know, I'm totally obsessed over Nathan, but he's cute what :D

Hi

Hi. I'm Cynthia. OBVIOUSLY HHAHAHAH.

Anyways, I just realised that my life could be better off without a particular someone, whom I really wanna say FUDGE right in that person's face. It was a blessing in disguise. And I'm thankful for that, because now I realise that it would never have been right.

And went Nex ytd. 3 awesome stuff I bought there :
1. THE WANTED'S ALBUM!!!! :DDD Yes there is some special augmented reality message from the boys, and requires a webcam. But I went to that site and they said I needed to download something in order to view it, and my face would be in there too O.O So now I currently look like an aunty with my screwed up hair, cos I'm wearing a hairband and my hair is sticking out from everywhere like a badly made bird's nest -.- And I'll need my Bro's permission to install it on the laptop too :X So yeah. But I'm very happy!! When I asked the salesgirl for help to find the album, turns out it was right at the front of the shop and I didn't even see it when I went it -.- Well, it was quite low on the rack kay!! So I went to the International groups section and went searching for it, but I couldn't find it. Then I asked the salesgirl and when she passed it to me, a HUGE SMILE immediately formed on my face :D Hehe! :D $17 plus.
Oh and I'm currently listening to it now hehe! Okay I should stop this obsession.
2. Paramore Mighty Wallet from 77th street. It's this wallet that's made of paper but it won't tear! It's tear-resistant :) Dayna told me about it so I went to buy it haha. No FTSK :( So I bought the Paramore one :) Though it's only the butterfly from the album Brand New Eyes.. But that's okay, the orange butterfly's nice :D $25.90. Somehow I felt it was kinda overpriced, but that's okay since it was Paramore! Though personally I prefer FTSK :X LOL.
3. Teenage magazine. Okay I bought it because there was a music sampler of Big Time Rush in it. And not to mention a free Glee poster too heheh ^^ It's on my cupboard now!! :D Okay so when I went home, I tore the package open and saw the behind part of the music sampler container. There are 5 songs, and behind said "Present this music sampler at any CD-RAMA store to enjoy $2 off your BTR album purchase and redeem a Big Time Rush poster! *Promotion and redemption is applicable to purchase of one album only and is valid from 15 June to 31 July 2011. While stocks last." I saw this and I was like, hmmm not bad. But I'm not a fan of BTR.. Maybe I will be, but not now lol. Maybe I should pass it to my family friend, she if she'll want :) She likes BTR.

Okay, so I'm a fan of the Shopaholic series, and before I went home I decided to go to the library near my house to try my luck. And there were 2 books that I hadn't read yet!! YESSS :DD Shopalic and Sister and Shopaholic takes Manhattan :D YAY YAY YAY YAY YES YES YES YES HEHEHEHHE :DDD

And just now dinner ate downstairs coffee shop the zi char, since it's Grandpa's belated bday! :D Grandpa, sheng ri kuai le!! :D

Okay so apparently I still have half a question left to do finish for Geog (Thanks Eunice for the TYS :)). And I can't find my bloody Japan notes for C.Hist!! D: I'll try one more time later.. And I've only done finish EMaths paper 1 for hw. Paper 2 I've only done a few qns. POA, haven't even started yet -.- I'll try to do later. That's all of the hw I can think of that I need to do. The rest should be either don't have or I forget already.
And I haven't even started studying and revising yet!! -.- Omg I should really start, I'm really scared :(

School starts on Monday.. I'm already having Monday blues -.-

Okay gonna do hw now bye!

Thoughts

I'm gonna make you bend and break (it sent you to me without wings)
Say a prayer, but let the good times roll
In case God doesn't show (let the good times roll, let the good times roll)
And I want these words to make things right
But it's the wrongs that makes the words come to life
Who does he think he is (if that's the worst you got better put your fingers back to the keys)

One night and one more time
Thanks for the memories
Even though they weren't so great
He tastes like you only sweeter

One night yeah and one more time
Thanks for the memories
Thanks for the memories
See, He tastes like you only sweeter
ooooooooh

Been looking forward to the future
But my eyesight is going bad
And this crystal ball
It's always cloudy except for (except for)
When you look into the past (look into the past)
One night stand
One night stands out!

One night, and one more time
Thanks for the memories
Even though they weren't so great
He tastes like you only sweeter

One night, yeah one more time
Thanks for the memories
Thanks for the memories
See, He tastes like you only sweeter

They say I only think in the form of
Crunching numbers in hotel rooms
Collecting page six lovers
Get me out of my mind
Gets you out of those clothes
I'm a line away from
Getting you into the mood (wa-ooooohhh)

One night, One more time
Thanks for the memories
Even though they werent so great
He tastes like you only sweeter

One night, Yeah One more time
Thanks for the memories
Thanks for the memories
See, He taste like you only sweeter

One more night and one more time
thanks for the memories
even though they werent so great
he tastes like you only sweeter

One night, One more time
Thanks for the memories
Thanks for the memories
See, he tastes like you only sweeter

It's a sunny day on the west coast
And currently my shades are drawn
My TV's on
I haven't left this place for days
It's funny how things change

I take what I get
And I throw it away
And I break it
I had everything and you took it from me
and I hate it
My thoughts run fast from me
like a lethal injection
like a lethal injection

Why does the world as we know it
Keep on bringing me down
Do my best to hide it
But it keeps bringing me... Down
No matter how hard that I try to climb
I'll be pulled back down again
Why does the world, as I know it
Keep on bringing me down
Keep on bringing me down
Keep on bringing me down

It's 5PM and I'm still locked in
and my guitar's tuned wrong
My voice is gone
I haven't seen sunlight in days
It's funny how things change

I take what I get and I throw it away
And I break it
I had everything
And you took it from me
and i hate it
My thoughts run fast from me
like a lethal injection
like a lethal injection

Why does the world,
As I know it
Keep on bringing me down
Do my best
To hide it
But it keeps on bringing me... (down)
No matter how hard that I try to climb
I'll be pulled back down again
Why does the world,
As I know it
Keep on bringing me down
Keep on bringing me down
Keep on bringing me down

Why does the world,
As I know it
Keep on bringing me down
Do my best
to hide it
But it keeps on bringing me... (down)
No matter how hard that I try to climb
I'll be pulled back down again
Why does the world,
As I know it
Keep on bringing me down
Keep on bringing me down
Keep on bringing me down

The world as it is

Firstly, I just wanna say that I do not believe that people should be gay, but I think that if they are just being who they are, then no problem with that.
Yes, I am Christian and I'm LOVING IT, but I think that people shouldn't bash us up just because we are against gays. Hey, we respect your decisions and religions, so respect ours too pls. If you don't like Carrie Underwood's Jesus Take The Wheel song, just don't listen to it, don't post hateful comments there, and don't bash us up. I just really don't understand why people have to do that. It hurts me when I read stuff like that, even though I know that others have their own opinions. But all I can do is just think that it's your opinion and that's that. Yes, I am a Christian. But hey, not all of us bash up gays. Yes, to us, it's inappropriate and wrong, but at least we respect them. Well, maybe not all of us, but still. So don't post hateful comments thinking that ALL of us are against them. Then you make a big hooha out of things. Especially when it comes to a song.
I think that gays are beautiful in their own way cos they are being themselves, they are not afraid to show to the world that they are just being themselves. They aren't hiding behind masks. Even though I don't think that it's right, but I respect their choices.
Yes, I am a Christian and will ALWAYS be one. I'm proud to be one, in fact. Yes, I have my values and morals and do not believe that people should be gay, but I still respect their decisions, if that's who they really want to be. And when others bash up gays, it's just unfair to them cos they are being who they are and I totally stand up for being who you are, for just being yourself.
I've emphasized this point about being yourself and who you are many many times, no matter what the world thinks of you. You think you're ugly, but actually you're BEAUTIFUL, it's just that others are too blind to see it. They say you're fat, just know that you're so much better than them, cos you're not superficial. They make fun of your race, just think that the people who make fun of you are proud. They bully you, just wait till you succeed and they'll be the ones washing your car.
Okay I think I'm getting carried away.
Dianna Agron posted this on her Tumblr just 1 hour ago.
I began reading and got so inspired that I decided to copy and paste the whole thing because I don't have a Tumblr account to reblog, but whatever lol :X
(FYI, she isn't les. She just decided to wear this one in a particular performance. Read on to find out.)

June 2, 2000
What does that day, month and year mean to you? President Bill Clinton used that particular day to declare ”Gay and Lesbian Pride Month”. Nine years later, on June 1st, President Barack Obama spoke to incorporate an even wider group. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered citizens alike could all have this month for recognition, respect and appreciation. However, I am aware that not all minds meet equally about the rights and respect that we should pay to others. As each generation leaves their footprints, and paves the way for what is to come…to some, change is an impossible idea or action to put in motion.
You know what? Often, this unfortunate reality is because of learned behavior! As much as we may often preach that we like to speak for ourselves, or outside the box, how many times have you caught yourself, or someone you know repeating the thoughts of another before them? Sometimes without proper information? And how many times have you felt that perhaps further knowledge on an issue or subject matter might result in a different voice, a different understanding? Perhaps even going against the ideas they’ve learned, heard, or grown up around? We have the ability to fly planes, send astronauts into space, develop technology such as cellphones! Things that once were unfathomable. I can sit at this small computer and type this message. Once I push send, this message can be seen by anyone who’d like to engage, all across the WORLD.
As many of you know, we (the Glee cast) have been storming the country at whirlwind speeds to put on a forty-two show, month-long tour. It has been a constant reminder of why we do this. We’ve witnessed the impact our show has had, from the very beginning, to these moments, three years later. You LOVELY & AMAZING fans! Just indescribable. The love, affirmation, and dedication you provide! We see it all, value it all. Trust me, we do! On stage, the excitement that we absorb from your ball of energy brings our adrenaline levels to highs that often-times, we aren’t sure we can reach. Bottom line, we love you guys. And our crew! Without this diverse group of hard-working people, this venture would be impossible.
Yesterday was June 11th, and we were tackling our newest location, Toronto! We had finished our first concert of the day, and I was about to take a moment to relax before the second. On the way to our dressing rooms, I passed a stack of shirts lined up on the merchandise tables. The white T’s were modeled after shirts we wore in a performance set to Lady Gaga’s, “Born This Way.” In case you are not familiar here are the lyrics:
[Verse:]My mama told me when I was youngWe are all born superstarsShe rolled my hair and put my lipstick onIn the glass of her boudoir“There’s nothing wrong with loving who you are”She said, “‘Cause he made you perfect, babe”“So hold your head up girl and you’ll go far,Listen to me when I say”[Chorus:]I’m beautiful in my way‘Cause God makes no mistakesI’m on the right track, babyI was born this wayDon’t hide yourself in regretJust love yourself and you’re setI’m on the right track, babyI was born this way
Beautiful. True. Words to remind yourself, words to live by. Doesn’t matter if you’re not a Gaga supporter, or one of her “Little Monsters” as she lovingly refers to her fans. Kindness moves mountains. Acceptance opens doors, makes room for change, diffuses misunderstanding. Every day, people commit hate crimes because of misunderstandings. Hate effects the target, and consumes the person behind the gun. It is crazy to realize that we have been in war for almost our entire existence on this planet. Many times for reasons of greed and hate.
Anyone that has experienced the death or abuse of a loved one can tell you that, “IT HURTS BEYOND EXPLANATION!!! AND WE SHOULD DO EVERYTHING IN OUR POWER TO MAKE ANY CHANGE POSSIBLE.” Raise your hand if you’ve spent nights crying yourself to sleep, raise your hand if you’ve felt as if you’d rather hide in bed all day than face the people that make you feel small or powerless! Raise your hand if you’ve felt as if you’d rather lie to people than tell them the truth about who you really are, because at least you wouldn’t be the victim of hateful behavior or prejudice! And raise your hand if lying feels almost as bad.
I was not raised in a family that accepted prejudice or hatred. For that, I thank my Mom and Dad each and every day. Look, we are human, we make mistakes. I will gladly shout from the rooftops that I AM NOT PERFECT. Nor will I ever be. But I can happily say that to my knowledge, I do not ever intentionally cause people pain. I love my family, my friends, my co-workers…and they all consist of girls AND boys. I do tell them that I love them. Yesterday, during our second show,  Instead of wearing my usual shirt during “Born This Way” I decided to wear one that said “Likes Girls”. It should actually have read, “Loves Girls”, because I do. The women in my life give me things that the men in my life can’t. And vice-versa. No, I am not a lesbian, yet if I were, I hope that the people in my life could embrace it whole-heartedly. And let me tell you, I can easily spill (quite comfortably) what I admire, respect and think is beautiful about any of the women in my life. Piece of cake!
Last night, I wanted to do something  to show my respect and love for the GLBT community. Support that people could actually see. Which is why I decided to change my shirt for the show. I happened to read a few comments that were posted on twitter. Many of you asked, “why?” This is my response. I am not asking for you to agree with what I am saying, but if you are listening, thank you. That is all I can ask. And a step further would be to take a moment to (honestly) answer the questions that I have raised. We can’t always put ourselves in someone else’s shoes. But we can try.
I am lucky to live in a place where I can wear almost anything that I want to express myself, and that jail is not a probable consequence. Which makes me feel as if I should exercise my right to do so every now and then. Think of the people that have died because of their passion and heartfelt hopes of change? So many good men and women. All because of an inherent wish for tolerance, love and support.
Our show celebrates the GLBT community. We are proud to be a part of something that embraces an often avoided topic. Hate is terrible, especially when we pass it down to a new generation of innocents. Recently, I heard a lament about San Francisco. How SFO just didn’t sound like a fun place to be, or visit, because that person wasn’t gay. Wait, really???? I wanted to laugh! But that would have been a response that wouldn’t have encouraged that person to be open-minded. To see that perhaps, their statement was foolish? Why won’t San Francisco be fun for you? Do you think the whole city is gay? Do you think they will judge you? Won’t feed you good food?  Perhaps they won’t let you have fun, the way THEY have fun?
Sadly, we’ve gotten letters from people who explain that they love the show but hate the gay story-lines. That we shouldn’t be polluting their children’s heads. To this I’d sometimes like to sarcastically reply, would you also like us to tell them that a stork is dropping off our offspring? That the sky is purple? That it is not practical to be true to yourself, because there are mean people in this world that will make them feel wrong for being honest? That instead of embracing themselves, they should lie to the world? THEY should be the ones being untrue and unhappy?
I believe that if you are bringing a child into the world, you should be willing to accept them in any reality. Whether they are Black, White, Asian, have four fingers, are disabled, gay….that the only wish should be for a happy and healthy baby. We are each other’s children. Unless someone has committed a violent or hateful act, why should we judge? We can so quickly resort to anger, often, the product of a whole other issue. Most often, an issue with our own self.
I understand that I am sitting behind the protection of this computer screen, in this hotel room, and to many I might sound “preachy”. Especially now that I have written an essay. I hope my intentions sound pure, and just. I speak, because I am passionate. I write with this passion because I know how it feels to be hurt, to be depressed, to not value yourself, or your feelings. If any of this has inspired or moved you, even just made you think….I encourage you to tweet or reblog a picture, quote, anything that you feel will continue to spread the love. And if any are interested in tracking the chain, perhaps visualizing the greater collective, include the hatch tag, #letlovein.
